Midday Metro Changes Hands -- Sort Of

Feb 05, 2008 by Midday Metro

It's official. The powers that be at KCPW have made me full-time host and producer of Midday Metro. I've been given free rein to mold the show as I see fit.

And that's where you come in. What do you want to hear? Now's your chance to program at least one hour of radio, so let's hear it. More arts, politics and advocates? Health, science, technology? People you should know?

Regardless, I definitely want to hear more from you during the show. Start calling up and talking with me -- 355-TALK is the number.

FYI, I'll be hiring an associate producer soon. Stay tuned.

And you are ...?

Back at you, Anonymous. Allow me to introduce myself -- Lara Jones. Thanks for pointing out the fact that my name doesn't appear on this blog. Ahhhhh, the devil's in the details.

Hi Lara, I'm sure that this will only make the show better. You are an excellent host and I like the lightheartedness you sometimes throw into the mix.

Here's an idea for a discussion topic -the escalating property assessment taxes is still an issue which has been raised before but not resolved. I want to know whether it would be a good idea for Utah to introduce legislation similar to California's Proposition 13 to prevent State or County government tax abuse. Look into it.
